Sunday Forum Series:
"Falling in Love with the Bible Again"

Sundays, 9:30 a.m., Parish House

Surprising, confusing, beguiling, and living—Holy Scripture is the avenue through which much of our conversation with God takes place. But what is the Bible, and how do we read it? How can such ancient texts still speak to us today? Join the Revs. Cathy Zappa and Samantha McKean as we dig into the Good Word, its main themes, and the surprising joy of falling in love with Scripture again. We’ll be using Rachel Held Evans’ Inspired as a conversation partner through this series, but familiarity with the book is not required.

In the Spirit

“In the Spirit” is a discussion group for those who seek to deepen their faith through meaningful conversations. Join us each second and fourth Monday at The Pirates’ House (20 E Broad Street), where you can grab a drink or a bite as we spend time together. We gather at 5:30 p.m. and begin our discussion at 6:00. A different topic is explored at each gathering. “In the Spirit” offers a rich blend of informal connection and deep discussion. For more information, contact the Rev. Samantha McKean.
