Information for New Visitors
Christ Church is always welcoming new members. Members connect with one another in worship and in ministry in the church and through acts of compassion and service. If you are interested in joining Christ Church or assisting with our newcomer ministry, please contact the office. Here are a few tips for visiting Christ Church:
Hospitality – Hospitality is an important part of our parish life, and all are welcome to join us in worship, and also to join us for a reception in the church undercroft (entrance on St. Julian Street) immediately following the 10:30 a.m. service.
Parking -
Option 1: Our church parking lot is directly south of the church building, across Congress Street.
Option 2: Overflow parking is available in the Congress Street Garage, across Drayton Street. Validation is provided (please see an usher).
Option 3: The Bryan Street Garage validates parking if you show the attendant your bulletin when exiting.
Option 4: On-street parking in downtown Savannah is free on Sundays, and there are often spaces available east of Reynolds Square.
Handicap Accessibility - Handicap accessible parking is located along St. Julian Street on the north side of the church building, which is also where our elevator entrance is located.
Name-tags – We wear name-tags so that we can greet one another by name, especially newcomers and visitors. If you would like a name-tag, please contact the Church office.
Childcare – We extend a warm welcome to you and your family at Christ Church, where children are always part of worship. As one of our parishioners once said to the mother of a fussy baby, “God put the wiggles in children.” If you prefer childcare for little ones age 0–4, our parish house nursery is available during services. Please contact John Audette our Director of Children and Youth Ministries, or ask an usher for directions when you arrive.
Newsletter - Our weekly newsletter is sent with the upcoming service bulletin each Thursday afternoon. Please subscribe here.
