Information for New Visitors
Christ Church is always welcoming new members. Members connect with one another in worship and in ministry in the church and through acts of compassion and service. If you are interested in joining Christ Church or assisting with our newcomer ministry, please contact the office.
Hospitality – Hospitality is an important part of our parish life. It takes many forms, the most important of which is a prevailing spirit of welcome whenever we gather. There are many times throughout the year when we gather to celebrate our lives together, including our weekly reception following the 10:30 AM Sunday service.
Name-tags – Our members wear name-tags so that we can welcome newcomers and visitors. Members may pick up and drop off their name-tags in the narthex each week or keep the name-tags and bring them when they attend services. If you would like a name-tag, please contact the Church office.
Childcare – We extend a warm welcome to you and your child at Christ Church. We provide a safe, clean, and happy environment for the youngest members of our church family. Nursery and childcare workers make each child feel comfortable and loved. The nursery is available each Sunday for the 10:30 AM service in the Parish House, 18 Abercorn Street, and Children’s Chapel takes place in the church undercroft for pre-K to 5th grade children during every Sunday service. Please visit our page for Children and Youth Ministries for more information, or contact John Audette our Youth Minister, for more details.
Joining Us – If you are coming to us from an Episcopal background, you can contact your previous parish to transfer your membership or we can make that request for you. If you come from a tradition other than the Episcopal Church, we encourage you to attend our “Episcopal 101” Class and be "Received" into the fellowship of this community when our bishop makes his annual Visitation. For more information on joining Christ Church, please contact the Church office.
Newsletter - A weekly newsletter is sent with the upcoming service bulletin each Thursday afternoon. Please subscribe here.
