Music is a vital component of our worship, liturgy, and community at Christ Church. The mission of the Christ Church Friends of Music is to support, facilitate, and cultivate concerts and other musical opportunities at the church which are above and beyond the regular liturgical fabric of the parish. It seeks to bring excellence in classical music to the Mother Church of Georgia, marking this historic parish as a world-class venue for the arts in the heart of downtown Savannah. In keeping with the mission of Christ Church that All Are Welcome, we offer these concerts at no charge through the generous patronage of the members of Friends of Music, allowing people from all backgrounds and walks of life to experience the transformative power of music in this sacred space.
Members in Friends of Music is open to all by donation, regardless of faith background or church membership. Other opportunities for support and hospitality are available; please contact George Fergus to discuss how to get involved.
Individual Donor levels are:
Supporter Circle: $50—$99 | Patron Circle: $100—$249
George Whitefield Circle: $250—$499 | F. Bland Tucker Circle: $500—$999
John Wesley Circle: $1,000—$2,499 | Founders Circle: $2,500+
Donations may be made online on our website by clicking here, or by check payable to “Christ Church Episcopal” designated in the memo line for “Friends of Music.” All donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent provided by law.
